Microclimate and the working environment.
We measure microclimate in offices, production halls, hospitals and schools and assess thermal comfort. Physical testing of the working environment is in our ATS 01-008 scope.

What we measure
Microclimate & working environment
Air temperature and humidity
Temperature −50 to 125 °C and relative humidity 0 to 100 %.
Air speed
0 to 5 m/s, relevant for draughts and ventilation.
Mean radiant temperature
The effect of warm and cold surfaces, measured with a globe thermometer.
PMV and PPD
Thermal comfort to EN ISO 7730:2008 and DIN EN 13779:2007.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is workplace microclimate?
Air conditions at the workstation: temperature, humidity, air speed and radiant heat from surfaces.
What are PMV and PPD?
PMV is the predicted mean thermal sensation from −3 (cold) to +3 (hot); PPD is the predicted percentage of dissatisfied people. Both follow EN ISO 7730.
Is it accredited?
Yes. Temperature, humidity, air speed, mean radiant temperature and PMV/PPD are in our scope.
